Wielkopolskie Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Inżynieryjnych started operations on January 1, 1968. First contracts covered residential estates in majority of Wielkopolska Province municipalities, as well as the following industrial plants, inter alia "METALPLAST" in Oborniki, Cast Iron Foundries in Rawicz and Śrem, House Plants in Poznań, Kalisz and Konin, Aluminium Mills in Konin, Cogeneration Plant in Karolin, and Pątnów Power Plant. We were partners in construction of numerous projects, such as Macro Cash and Carry and Selgros in Poznań, Non-alcoholic Beverage Plant in Żnin, Refrigerator Plant “Amica” in Wronki, and many others. In addition we completed numerous water-supply and sewerage projects, sewage treatment plants, water purification plants, as well as other engineering works in Wielkopolska Province.

On December 31st 2007, Wielkopolskie Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Inżynieryjnych „WUPRINŻ-Poznań” Spółka z o.o. was formally transformed by Distric Court in Poznań, Department XXI of Commerce at National Court Registry, into joint stock company, under the name WUPRINŻ Spółka Akcyjna (short name WUPRINŻ S.A.).
The Company is a proud successor to traditions of Wielkopolskie Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Inżynieryjnych, which found its reflection in 2008 during celebrations of 40 years of continuous operations.
Due to our good partnerships with local authorities and utility operators our company is involved in numerous sewerage and water supply system projects within the Poznan area, as well as large projects co-financed with EU funds under PHARE, SAPARD, ISPA, IOPRD and Cohesion Fund nationwide.
